Powder metallurgical materials for high wear, corrosion and heat resistance. Alunox provides inert atomized metal powder on Fe, Ni and Co-based analysis and according to specification. The available grain sizes - mainly 180-20 microns - cover all uses in traditional processing methods such as PTA, flame spraying and HVOF. Our focus lies on the corrosion and wear protection. We deliver hardfacing cored wires with diameters of 1.0 to 4.0 mm. Our standard program includes alloys, Ni, Fe, Co, and Al-based, but also cored wires are manufactured to your specifications.


C-, CR-, TC-alloyed Cored Wire

C-, Cr-, WC-alloyed flux cored wires are used everywhere where parts are exposed to highly abrasive wear. The weld metal is subsequently barely prepared. The corrosion resistant alloy matrix can be used in wet areas. Applications are for example mixer blades, screw conveyors, concrete gland packings, lime braker mills, plows for agriculture as well as applications in the metallurgical industry. For higher corrosion resistance, an alloy with higher Co content should be used.


C-, Cr-, Ni-, V-, Mo-alloyed Cored Wire

C-, Cr-, Ni-, V-, Mo-alloyed cored wires are suitable for surfacing parts subject to wear and friction which are exposed to impact stress. The weld metal is corrosion resistant and easy to work with CBN. Cored wires of this kind are typically used in mining, for example, in plots on bucket wheel excavators, chutes, conveyor troughs and chassis units.
